Beans
Almost all the different amenity grasses we use in our mixtures are in the top ten varieties listed by The Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI). Each cultivar is selected by us to ensure their all round performance regarding tolerance of close mowing, shoot density, fineness of leaf, cleanliness of cut, winter greenness and the ability to grow strongly after mowing.

Lawn Grass

  Dwarf Perennial Ryegrass

This is now our best selling amenity grass .  Its main attraction being it’s low cutting frequency with good persistence and stability which makes it ideal for many different grass situations at a low price.

  Brown Top

This is a the finest and highest quality grass which makes it an essential component for a first class lawn.

  Chewings Fescue

A very fine fescue which is distinguished by its strong root and sward development. It has excellent tolerance to frequent close mowing and has a low rate of leaf increase which makes it an ideal mixing component with other fine leaved varieties.

  Crested Dogstail

This is a very attractive yet more traditional grass. It can be used in ornamental lawn mixtures but is more suited to an old time meadow mix.

  Hard Fescue

Its growth habit makes it suitable for both amenity and meadow situations.

  Slender Creeping Red Fescue

A new addition to our list offering you a fine-leaved creeping red which maintains a dense sward throughout the year by the production of runners with good summer colour.

  Strong Creeping Red Fescue

This fescue is perfect for amenity mixtures as it fills out the bottom of the sward and helps to keep a good colour in summer thus making it an essential ingredient for excellent lawns.

  Rough Stalked Meadow Grass

Requires moist conditions and thrives on strong soils. Suitable for tough-wearing situations.

  Smooth Stalked Meadow Grass

As a drought resister, this is very valuable under dry conditions. It is suitable for shady areas and has thick shoot density for good ground cover even when mown very short.
